How Regit Helped MG’s S5 EV Cut Through the Noise and Drive Real Action
With automotive brand loyalty at an all-time low and EV adoption held back by outdated myths, MG partnered with Regit to shift perceptions. The result? An engaging, myth-busting video that didn’t just inform - it inspired action and delivered real-world conversions.
Challenge
MG wanted to drive awareness and support test drive activity for the MGS5 EV, a standout performer in a crowded SUV segment. But EV adoption is still weighed down by scepticism, outdated perceptions, and a lack of familiarity - particularly among traditional petrol/diesel drivers.
Solution
Regit developed an entertaining, myth-busting long-form video featuring Arsenal legend Ray Parlour, Gladiators' Jamie Christian and TOWIE’s Chloe Meadows - a trio with broad, multi-demographic appeal.
The trio took on Regit’s ‘Race of the Stars’ – a tour of Greater London that tested all elements of the MGS5 EV’s capabilities. The competitive nature of the celebrities and their will to win kept audiences hooked.
The campaign combined full-length and short-form edits, distributed across YouTube, Instagram, and Meta. Paid targeting ensured reach into key EV-curious segments, while strong creative hooks kept attention high. Performance was tracked in real time and optimised for completions and retention.
